Bio
KT Shivak is an artist and puppeteer working in Chicago. She earned her BFA in sculpture at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2018 where an interest in woodcarving and movement led her to start working in the puppet theater.
As a member of the Jeff Award winning puppetry collective Chicago Puppet Studio, KT has designed and built for productions by Ma-Yi Theater, The House Theater, Lookingglass Theater, Lifeline Theater, Rough House Theater, Manual Cinema, and Blair Thomas & Co. She has performed at the Eugene O’Neill National Puppetry Conference, the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival, The Chopin Theater and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Her puppets have appeared in the New York Times, Fox News Chicago, and Puppetry International Magazine.
